The day when everything went dark (except my love for you)
60You had a smile
which rivaled
the very essence of the sun
and as you awoke
from your sleep
and greeted me
at the break of day
the sun was also coming up
at the same time
and exclaimed
"Hey wait a minute
I can't compete with a countenance
like that!"
Quickly the humbled sun
disappeared
behind some very heavy clouds
and no doubt
weeped.
The sun was probably sulking
and perhaps
in a blue mood.
Its message was just naturally blinded
by the fact
there are many things in this life
which are eternally beautiful
in the way they can live
with each other
in perfect harmony ....
"so please come back out
and play with us
and follow in my girlfriend's footsteps
for you both deserve each other
and I love the sun in her smile
as much as I love you!"
